More than ever, the electronic devices that are critical to everyday personal life and the social infrastructure are increasingly dependent on intelligent and autonomous computer systems.

In recent years, there has been rapidly growing interest in machine learning, especially deep learning, as it has been successfully applied for various applications. However, deep learning algorithms are extremely expensive in terms of mathematical computation. The heavy computational demands of deep learning has limited commercial applications.

For this reason, deep learning algorithms are a natural target for hardware-based acceleration since it enables orders of magnitude performance enhancement and high density integration of artificial neurons.

This talk introduces DEEPX which is the first AI semiconductor company for edge devices. This talk discusses DEEPX technology and its future direction.
