As the electrification, digitization, connectivity, and intellectualization of automobile rise, the new electronic-electrical architectures are undergoing an evolution from “distributed” to “centralized”, so as to adapt to the development and challenges of the new era; electronic control systems also move towards integrated domain control, where their software and hardware embrace the design routes featuring heterogeneity and high cohesion.

BYD, known as a leader of NEV industry, started to deploy electrification early, having launched mature products that are well received by consumers. Today, BYD is developing next-generation intelligent products that agree with consumers’ needs in the market.

Electronics need to be designed and developed based on chips, while the optimization and architecture of software is based on chip platforms. BYD attaches great importance to the application of semiconductor technology in the automobile sector, while Arm is an important contributor to the era of chips-driven auto electronics.

We are using chips designed based on Arm kernel and IP, and a variety of effective tool chains in many areas of control. This guarantees that electronics can also be wonderfully competitive. This talk will reveal how BYD in the new era can be digital and intelligent based on chip semiconductor technology.
